Principal designer Darla Bankston May brings a wealth of experience and a discerning eye to every project. A graduate of Texas State University with a BA in Interior Design and a double minor in architecture and art history, Darla began her career as a design associate before establishing BMA in 1999. Her extensive background, spanning over 20 years, encompasses all aspects of the design process, from initial architectural planning and construction to the final selection of furnishings and décor.

Darla’s design philosophy centers on understanding her clients’ lifestyles and translating their vision into meticulously crafted spaces. She embraces the challenge of creating environments that not only reflect their personal taste but also enhance their daily lives. BMA’s diverse portfolio includes a wide range of residential and boutique hospitality projects across the United States and abroad, each one a testament to the firm’s dedication to design excellence and client satisfaction.
