Principal Designer

Darla Bankston May graduated from Texas State University with a BA in Interior Design and minors in both Architecture and Art History. She is a licensed Interior Designer in the State of Texas, and a Professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Darla is an active member of Preservation Houston, an organization that endeavors to revitalize Houston’s historic buildings, neighborhoods, and places.

In 2015, The Houston Design center recognized Darla as a Leader in Design. She has also received Luxe Magazine’s Gold Award for 2013-2015 and Best of Houzz 2014-2015.

Darla is known for her ability to work with a variety of aesthetics: classic, contemporary, rustic and traditional. She takes a client-centered approach to her designs and enjoys the challenge of creating spaces that reflect the client’s personality and compliment their lifestyle.   With more than 20 years experience in the design industry, she has developed a vast knowledge in all phases of design, from architectural planning and construction to interior concepts and furnishings.
